Spooky Shelter 2019

The Spooky Shelter

Corgster was feeling a bit sad. He had several costumes but didn’t know what to be for Halloween. He asked the Rescue Pets Players to get some ideas – and they responded!

They said – BatDog, Dogzilla, and MerDog, but where would he get these outfits?

He peeked out his window and what did he see?
A SPOOKY SHELTER on the other side of the tree!

He walked out of the room
and howled at the moon
preparing himself for all the costumes.

He knew there’d be pets waiting to be adopted.
So, he put on his cape and said, “Let’s get started!”

Rescue Pets has been able to sponsor Treble, our first REAL rescue, thanks to all of our players and Dog Gone Seattle.

Treble - Our First REAL Rescue!

I’m THRILLED to announce we are partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to sponsor our first rescue! Thanks to everyone who played and shared Rescue Pets! Without you, we would not be able to sponsor this dog. Just in time for our Halloween event, which is raising money for Treble!

Treble is an adorable dachshund mix that Dog Gone Seattle just rescued from a high kill shelter in California.

Treble in his old shelter.

Dog Gone Seattle finds dogs that other shelters have given up on finding homes for. After that, they transport them to Seattle, give them a foster home, and take care of any special needs, if necessary.

Once arriving in Seattle, he met up with his foster mother. She will be taking care of him until he finds a new home. After traveling from California, he was tired:

After his long journey, he enjoyed his bath in his new foster home!

Now he’s adapting to his new life waiting for a permanent home while being loved and given space to roam around and play. He’s adorable, so I think it won’t take too long for him to get adopted.

Dog Gone Seattle is excellent at setting dogs up for success by looking at temperament and doing matchmaking appropriately. I’m so happy we had a chance to sponsor him. Thanks again all you Rescue Pets players! And a special thanks to Dog Gone Seattle. They pour their hearts and souls into saving dogs. It’s inspiring.

Don’t forget to play our special Halloween event to support Treble and our future rescues. Now is also a great time to get our Birthday Costume if you haven’t yet! Each purchase has enabled us to sponsor Treble. If you’d rather donate directly to Dog Gone Seattle, you can do that here

You can find his adoption page here, along with other dogs from Dog Gone Seattle. Their mission page is an excellent read if you want to learn more about how they help!
