Our July 4th Featured Foster

Meet this just-rescued german shepherd, this sweetheart we’re sponsoring in our Firework Event. Dog Gone Seattle is bringing him to a foster home and we can help him get settled in!

July 4th Featured Shepherd!

Published: Jul 2020, Dan Scalise

Hello Rescuers! We’re partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to feature a dog they just rescued! We pledge to donate 20% of our purchases during our July 4th event to help him with his recovery, rescue, and any medical issues he may need. Here’s what we know about him so far:

I am a male, brown german shepherd mix. The shelter staff thinks I’m around 2 years old, and I’m coming from California

He doesn’t have an adoption page yet (as of July 2), but here’s a list of dogs at Dog Gone Seattle. He’s eagerly awaiting meeting his new foster mom on Sunday. After that, we should get more pictures to share and learn more about him! Follow us to stay notified on him.

July 8: Update from his foster:

I named him Ludo and he is settling in well. He won’t be listed until he is ready for meet and greets which will be awhile.

I attached a few photos of Ludo for you. He’s a hot mess, but very sweet.

Ludo is a sweet boy being fostered in Dog Gone Seattle

You can play Rescue Pets to support Ludo and help us rescue even more animals in the future. When players spend money, we donate to Dog Gone Seattle to pay for transportation, medical, and other costs related to their fostering program.

Also, we are looking to work with more shelters across America. If you know a small shelter that does good work, tell them to contact us at rescuepetsgame@gmail.com.

We have tips on how to get in the top ten of our leaderboard. Now is also a great time to get our Pet Superhero Boost Subscription! You’ll get a 2x gold boost for as long as you’re subscribed and it’s just a dollar or two to get started! Just download our game, and find it on the pawprint page at the bottom!

Meet Oliver – Our Egg Event Featured Foster!

Meet Oliver, this sweetheart we’re sponsoring in our Egg Event. He has multiple surgeries coming up and we’d like to cover it all for Dog Gone Seattle. Have fun in our event and help us help him!

Here's Oliver!

Published: Apr 2020, Dan Scalise

Hello Rescuers! We’re partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to feature Oliver! We pledge to donate 20% of our purchases during our Egg event to help him with his medical bills. Here’s what they said about him:

Oliver is a 9-year-old cocker spaniel who was dumped at a high kill shelter. Upon rescue, we discovered he needed:

-A full dental with several extractions
-Stitches in his mouth to close a hole caused by a broken jaw
-Tear test and stain test for both eyes. Oliver has severe blurred vision, as well as an infection in both eyes. He tested at a level 10 for tear production, needing eye drops daily for lack of tear production.

Despite everything Oliver has been through, he is showing to be incredibly resilient and oh so sweet! He gives an adorable head tilt when you talk to him, and loves to nudge in for pets and curls up on your lap. He is an absolute sweetheart!

Here’s his adoption page wit more info. He’s happy in his foster home while he waits for his surgeries to complete.

You can play Rescue Pets to support Oliver and help us rescue even more animals in the future. When players spend money, we donate to Dog Gone Seattle to pay for transportation, medical, and other costs related to their fostering program.

We have tips on how to get in the top ten of our new player leaderboard that will help you get an exclusive prize from our booth in person (and bragging rights of course!)

Now is also a great time to get our Pet Superhero Boost Subscription! You’ll get a 2x gold boost for as long as you’re subscribed and it’s just a dollar or two to get started! Just download our game, and find it on the pawprint page at the bottom!

Meet Naia - Our January Rescue Dog!

Published: Jan 2020, Dan Scalise

UPDATE 1/18/20: Naia was adopted! Thanks everyone! All the merch and in-app purchases during PAX South were able to replace the funds Dog Gone Seattle spent on Naia’s medical needs and transportation to Seattle. I’m very grateful. I really can’t explain how meaningful it is to me to see our game make real impact. A year ago it was just a vision, now it’s reality. Thank you all!

I’m THRILLED to announce we are partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to feature another rescue: Naia!

You can find her adoption page here, along with other dogs from Dog Gone Seattle. Their mission page is an excellent read if you want to learn more about how they help!

She was rescued from Hawaii. Her foster mom says she’s a great friendly dog. She’s had some illnesses lately and Dog Gone Seattle has had to pay for extra medical treatment (almost $300 worth!). Along with her shipment from Hawaii, this has taken some extra spending. We are looking for our players to help us sponsor this cost!

Don’t forget to play our game to support Naia and our future rescues. Now is also a great time to get our Pet Superhero Boost Subscription! You’ll get a 2x gold boost for as long as you’re subscribed and it’s just a dollar or two to get started! Just download our game, and find it in the pawprint page!

Spooky Shelter 2019

Rescue Pets has its first special event: The Spooky Shelter! Unlock all the costumes before they’re gone and support a REAL dog at the same time!

The Spooky Shelter

Published: Oct 2019, Dan Scalise

Corgster was feeling a bit sad. He had several costumes but didn’t know what to be for Halloween. He asked the Rescue Pets Players to get some ideas – and they responded!

They said – BatDog, Dogzilla, and MerDog, but where would he get these outfits?

He peeked out his window and what did he see?
A SPOOKY SHELTER on the other side of the tree!

He walked out of the room
and howled at the moon
preparing himself for all the costumes.

He knew there’d be pets waiting to be adopted.
So, he put on his cape and said, “Let’s get started!”

Treble – Our First REAL Rescue!

Rescue Pets has been able to sponsor Treble, our first REAL rescue, thanks to all of our players and Dog Gone Seattle.

Treble - Our First REAL Rescue!

Published: Oct 2019, Dan Scalise

I’m THRILLED to announce we are partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to sponsor our first rescue! Thanks to everyone who played and shared Rescue Pets! Without you, we would not be able to sponsor this dog. Just in time for our Halloween event, which is raising money for Treble!

Treble is an adorable dachshund mix that Dog Gone Seattle just rescued from a high kill shelter in California.

Treble in his old shelter.

Dog Gone Seattle finds dogs that other shelters have given up on finding homes for. After that, they transport them to Seattle, give them a foster home, and take care of any special needs, if necessary.

Once arriving in Seattle, he met up with his foster mother. She will be taking care of him until he finds a new home. After traveling from California, he was tired:

Treble Sleeping after his long journey

After his long journey, he enjoyed his bath in his new foster home!

Now he’s adapting to his new life waiting for a permanent home while being loved and given space to roam around and play. He’s adorable, so I think it won’t take too long for him to get adopted.

Dog Gone Seattle is excellent at setting dogs up for success by looking at temperament and doing matchmaking appropriately. I’m so happy we had a chance to sponsor him. Thanks again all you Rescue Pets players! And a special thanks to Dog Gone Seattle. They pour their hearts and souls into saving dogs. It’s inspiring.

Don’t forget to play our special Halloween event to support Treble and our future rescues. Now is also a great time to get our Birthday Costume if you haven’t yet! Each purchase has enabled us to sponsor Treble. If you’d rather donate directly to Dog Gone Seattle, you can do that here

You can find his adoption page here, along with other dogs from Dog Gone Seattle. Their mission page is an excellent read if you want to learn more about how they help!
