Our July 4th Featured Foster

Meet this just-rescued german shepherd, this sweetheart we’re sponsoring in our Firework Event. Dog Gone Seattle is bringing him to a foster home and we can help him get settled in!

July 4th Featured Shepherd!

Published: Jul 2020, Dan Scalise

Hello Rescuers! We’re partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to feature a dog they just rescued! We pledge to donate 20% of our purchases during our July 4th event to help him with his recovery, rescue, and any medical issues he may need. Here’s what we know about him so far:

I am a male, brown german shepherd mix. The shelter staff thinks I’m around 2 years old, and I’m coming from California

He doesn’t have an adoption page yet (as of July 2), but here’s a list of dogs at Dog Gone Seattle. He’s eagerly awaiting meeting his new foster mom on Sunday. After that, we should get more pictures to share and learn more about him! Follow us to stay notified on him.

July 8: Update from his foster:

I named him Ludo and he is settling in well. He won’t be listed until he is ready for meet and greets which will be awhile.

I attached a few photos of Ludo for you. He’s a hot mess, but very sweet.

Ludo is a sweet boy being fostered in Dog Gone Seattle

You can play Rescue Pets to support Ludo and help us rescue even more animals in the future. When players spend money, we donate to Dog Gone Seattle to pay for transportation, medical, and other costs related to their fostering program.

Also, we are looking to work with more shelters across America. If you know a small shelter that does good work, tell them to contact us at rescuepetsgame@gmail.com.

We have tips on how to get in the top ten of our leaderboard. Now is also a great time to get our Pet Superhero Boost Subscription! You’ll get a 2x gold boost for as long as you’re subscribed and it’s just a dollar or two to get started! Just download our game, and find it on the pawprint page at the bottom!

Each purchase has enabled us to sponsor Treble, Naia, Kona, and more, and we are MEGA grateful for that. If you’d rather donate directly to Dog Gone Seattle, you can do that here

How to Master The Rescue Pets Event Leaderboards

Published: Jul 2, 2021 ~ Dan Scalise

Our special events aren’t just addicting fun and cute costumes. You can compete with your friends and the world in our ranking system! Only the top 10 will win the Gold Event Crown.

Plus, we sponsor a new animal rescue in each event. We work hard to make sure at least 20% of our event profits go straight to helping the specific animal. Thanks for your support! Check out our blog to see the past animals our players have supported.

Top 5 Tips:

1. Never Give Up

This is a lesson that’s dear to my heart ~ and it applies to Rescue Pets, as well! Rank can change very easily. Sometimes, the top players may think they’re far ahead of the rest and take a break. It’s then that the diligent players who keep coming back to collect their idle cash, pet their Corgi, and upgrade assets for their shelter will catch up. Treat boosts, and consistent idle reward collection can make a HUGE difference.

2. Use Treats Consistently

Treats give you extra gold! Make sure you come back to the game when they expire to activate more. This will give you the edge against the others.

We have a 4x treat that lasts a whole week! This is perfect for making sure you’re using all your time in the event wisely! Find it in the green Pawprint tab under the Gold Boost Treats ribbon.

Combine these with Instant Cash to get outrageous amounts of gold RIGHT NOW! In our pawprint tab, we have Instant cash buttons that are special for the event that are cheaper than normal instant cash items with a MUCH larger effect!

3. Buy our Event Rescuer Pack!

Our Starter pack has treats and materials to get you off on the right track to the event! If you just want the adorable costumes, this will help you out! If you want to be in the top 10, this can give you the edge! PLUS, this will support animals like Treble. Check in the game and on our social media to see the animal we’re sponsoring now.

4. Become a Pet Superhero!

Want 2x Gold all the time? Go to our shop and become a Pet Superhero! For only a dollar or two a week, you can get this thrilling gold boost to keep you ahead of the pack WHILE helping dogs find a home and our mission! Thank you so much! This helps us make the game better, too!

5. Watch ads in all your shelters!

In the skills tab (dark blue tab with a stop watch), you can find our ad boosts! One gives you more gold, one helps you complete more stages. Activate both boosts and fill the bars to 24 hours! 20% of our ad-revenue goes to help the dog we’re sponsoring during the event, so keep it up! Don’t forget to go back to your Home shelter to activate Ad boosts there, too!

How Rank Works:

For the duration of our event, on the top-left corner of the screen, you can see your current rank. It compares your Love Per Second (the Heart /s) with all of our players in the event! Click your rank to get a bigger view of it, with your dog’s name! The window that pops up is very useful for sharing with your friends because you can see your dog’s name and costume along with your rank! Take screenshots and share!

Also at the top, you’ll notice it says “Next: XXX <3 / s.” The player one rank above you has this many shelter points, and you can beat it! We only reload the rank every 5 min, so please be patient if it doesn’t update right away.

The top 10 players at any time will see their corgi wear the CROWN! You only keep the crown at the end of the event if you are in the top 10 at the end. It can easily change so never give up!

How to get a high rank?

– Keep getting more Love/s in your Shelter by upgrading assets like Food, Toy, Bath, etc! Look for the assets that increase your Love per Second (“heart /s” icon).

– Only your base Love/sec count towards rank (the love/second at the top of the screen when it’s white). Using Health Potions and Cute Pix boosts, and petting won’t affect your rank. They are still very important to temporarily increasing your Love/sec to help complete stages unlock things quicker, but will not increase your Rank!

– Use Treats consistently to get more gold even faster! (Pro-tip: you can combine treats with Instant Cash. Just use a treat first to get more Gold/second. Then use an Instant Cash to make it rain Gold!)

– Tell your friends to follow us on TwitterFacebook, and Instagram! We give everyone a 2x boost for a day if we meet our follower goals – watch our news to see when we announce a follower goal! (We also share more tips on the game on these platforms, so make sure you’re following)

Meet Oliver – Our Egg Event Featured Foster!

Meet Oliver, this sweetheart we’re sponsoring in our Egg Event. He has multiple surgeries coming up and we’d like to cover it all for Dog Gone Seattle. Have fun in our event and help us help him!

Here's Oliver!

Published: Apr 2020, Dan Scalise

Hello Rescuers! We’re partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to feature Oliver! We pledge to donate 20% of our purchases during our Egg event to help him with his medical bills. Here’s what they said about him:

Oliver is a 9-year-old cocker spaniel who was dumped at a high kill shelter. Upon rescue, we discovered he needed:

-A full dental with several extractions
-Stitches in his mouth to close a hole caused by a broken jaw
-Tear test and stain test for both eyes. Oliver has severe blurred vision, as well as an infection in both eyes. He tested at a level 10 for tear production, needing eye drops daily for lack of tear production.

Despite everything Oliver has been through, he is showing to be incredibly resilient and oh so sweet! He gives an adorable head tilt when you talk to him, and loves to nudge in for pets and curls up on your lap. He is an absolute sweetheart!

Here’s his adoption page wit more info. He’s happy in his foster home while he waits for his surgeries to complete.

You can play Rescue Pets to support Oliver and help us rescue even more animals in the future. When players spend money, we donate to Dog Gone Seattle to pay for transportation, medical, and other costs related to their fostering program.

We have tips on how to get in the top ten of our new player leaderboard that will help you get an exclusive prize from our booth in person (and bragging rights of course!)

Now is also a great time to get our Pet Superhero Boost Subscription! You’ll get a 2x gold boost for as long as you’re subscribed and it’s just a dollar or two to get started! Just download our game, and find it on the pawprint page at the bottom!

Meet Naia – Our January Rescue Dog!

Rescue Pets is featuring Naia, a cute girl looking for a forever home. Let’s thank Dog Gone Seattle and our players for making this possible!

Meet Naia - Our January Rescue Dog!

Published: Jan 2020, Dan Scalise

UPDATE 1/18/20: Naia was adopted! Thanks everyone! All the merch and in-app purchases during PAX South were able to replace the funds Dog Gone Seattle spent on Naia’s medical needs and transportation to Seattle. I’m very grateful. I really can’t explain how meaningful it is to me to see our game make real impact. A year ago it was just a vision, now it’s reality. Thank you all!

I’m THRILLED to announce we are partnering with Dog Gone Seattle to feature another rescue: Naia!

You can find her adoption page here, along with other dogs from Dog Gone Seattle. Their mission page is an excellent read if you want to learn more about how they help!

She was rescued from Hawaii. Her foster mom says she’s a great friendly dog. She’s had some illnesses lately and Dog Gone Seattle has had to pay for extra medical treatment (almost $300 worth!). Along with her shipment from Hawaii, this has taken some extra spending. We are looking for our players to help us sponsor this cost!

Don’t forget to play our game to support Naia and our future rescues. Now is also a great time to get our Pet Superhero Boost Subscription! You’ll get a 2x gold boost for as long as you’re subscribed and it’s just a dollar or two to get started! Just download our game, and find it in the pawprint page!

Spooky Shelter 2019

Rescue Pets has its first special event: The Spooky Shelter! Unlock all the costumes before they’re gone and support a REAL dog at the same time!

The Spooky Shelter

Published: Oct 2019, Dan Scalise

Corgster was feeling a bit sad. He had several costumes but didn’t know what to be for Halloween. He asked the Rescue Pets Players to get some ideas – and they responded!

They said – BatDog, Dogzilla, and MerDog, but where would he get these outfits?

He peeked out his window and what did he see?
A SPOOKY SHELTER on the other side of the tree!

He walked out of the room
and howled at the moon
preparing himself for all the costumes.

He knew there’d be pets waiting to be adopted.
So, he put on his cape and said, “Let’s get started!”

rescue_pets_Seattle_mobile_dog_gone

Get as many adoptions as you can this Halloween week so Corgster can dress up and collect all outfits before the Spooky Shelter closes! We’re also sponsoring our first REAL dog this week! Thanks to Dog Gone Seattle and all our players out there!
